Manipur Startup Zogam Bamboo making Eco-friendly Tiffin Boxes
A Manipur based start-up, Zogam Bamboo has been making a buzz on social media for its innovative, eco-friendly product that not only helps reduce plastic pollution but also gives a boost to local economy. The interesting product is a bamboo tiffin box, yes, a durable tiffin box that can be used as an alternative to plastic tiffin boxes but is made of environment friendly Bamboo shoots.
Shared on Twitter by IFS officer Sudha Ramen, the clip shows the framework of the tiffin carrier. Easily detachable and secured with a tight lock, each and every part of this special item is made from bamboo. The tiffin carrier is said to be much more environment-friendly than plastic or steel ones.
The durable lunchbox has several compartments that can carry different items, much like the traditional Indian ‘dabba’, which has become out of fashion due to its clunky make and weight. The eco-friendly bamboo lunchbox is light and savvy and can easily replace plastic lunchboxes.
The Company behind this innovative tiffin box is Zogam Bamboo Works located in in Lamka, a town in Manipur’s Churachandpur district.
